Guatemala 2009

Here is an e-mail I received from Dave this morning regarding his health. He gave me permission to post it on the blog.

I’m on Cipro, prescription strength Robitussin, and a strictly, hold on to your hats, Gatorade diet for 24 hours (that’s almost over, thank goodness). They ran all sorts of tests yesterday, even did an x-ray of my chest. I had a fever when I went in (which surprised me because I didn’t feel nearly as badly as I had earlier in the week which makes me wonder what my temp was THEN!). Everything that had quick turn around came back negative: no flu, no strep, presumably no pneumonia (based on the x-ray?). He was looking for some sort of bacterial infection in the tests we’ll get back today. I’ll let you know.
